This album is a restart session between the big names.
Dexter Gordon, who went to Europe, performed with Bud Powell, who lives in Paris, for the first time in 17 years.
Although the era was already in the 60's, their performance was naturally hard bop-like.
Although their performance lacks sharpness, their dignified and stable performance is impressive.
Anyway, why does Powell's piano always thrill me every time I listen to it ?
